The Association
The Museen Bern association encompasses 40 museums, libraries, archives and gardens in the city of Bern and the surrounding area. Since it was established in 1997, the association has worked to strengthen cooperation between its members and promote their joint public image.
Museen Bern initiates and organises joint activities and events for a wide audience:
Museum Night Bern
Free Museum Admission
Museum Beer
The Museum Card from Museen Bern offers a diverse range of options for cultural visits for a single price, allowing free admission for 24 or 48 hours to all collections and exhibitions of the member institutions. The Museum Card is available from the Bern Welcome tourist information office at Bern railway station or from the online shop.
Alongside these joint cultural events, Museen Bern is also committed to ensuring that all cultural sites are as accessible and barrier-free as possible for anyone wishing to visit.
A multilingual leaflet is published three times a year and provides a compact overview of the varied exhibition programme in paper form.
