Polit-Forum Bern

The Polit-Forum serves to promote an open exchange of ideas and viewpoints in a vibrant democracy: through exhibitions and events about topical political issues right in the heart of the city in the Käfigturm, the former city prison. The Polit-Forum also makes the premises available to political organisations. The Polit-Forum Bern is now funded by the city, the canton and Bern’s Burgergemeinde (citizens’ community), as well as the two national churches.
Brochures are provided on the first floor in the Information Centre for those wishing to find out more about the event programme and the new supporting organisations. Like all its exhibitions and events, this service is also provided free of charge.
