The platformfor Alpine themes

What does Alpine air from a spray cansmell like? How do you conquer a summit? What do the mountains mean to us, anddo we have to be fascinated by them? TheSwiss Alpine Museum takes up such currenttopics and raises issues related to thepresent day. Large-scale special exhibitions, experimental cabinet exhibitionsand accompanying events present mountainsand people from ever new perspectives.Culture, art, science and societyhighlight different aspects of the mountainsand the Alps, and facilitate variousnew approaches.

In the major exhibition "Our Water: SixModels for the Future", the AlpineMuseum has forged a link between researchand fiction to come up with sixfuture scenarios for water. Four contemporaryauthors project scientific factsabout climate change into the future, letting people in 2051 talk about theireveryday lives.
