Robert Walser-Centre

The Robert Walser Centre is a public research and mediation centre dedicated to the works of Robert Walser and Carl Seelig. It features the literary estates of both writers, its purpose being to preserve, open up, research, mediate and expand its collections. To this end it maintains an archive, a library and an exhibition. The premises are open to the public, and admission is free.
At its own initiative but also in co-operation with various partners the Centre conducts research projects, stages exhibitions and events, and issues publications such as the new annotated Bern edition of the works of Robert Walser.
The Robert Walser Centre organises theme-based exhibitions on its premises featuring books, manuscripts and documents by and on Robert Walser and his work. A catalogue is published to coincide with each exhibition.
